Accommodation

Please note that we only find rooms for registered students - we are not an accommodation agency.

Homestay

Many of our students stay with homestay hosts in or near Chelsea. You share a home with a family who provide breakfast and sometimes also other meals. The cost of this option is from around £100 per week for a single room or from around £80 per person per week for a double or triple room. You will usually have to pay a deposit when you arrive. We keep a list of homestay hosts. Please note that prices, house rules and facilities depend upon the particular household and that room money is paid directly to your homestay host.

If you live in the area of Chelsea, Battersea, Earls Court, Fulham or Kensington and have a spare room available, we would like to hear from you. We do not charge a commission for arranging homestay lets. The first £4,250 annually from letting your spare room is tax free, regardless of your other income. It does not affect entitlement to Tax Credits.

Hostels

This is the classic young person's option. The nearby area of Earls Court is London's hostel and backpacker capital. You share a dormitory-style room with 3-6 beds. Some hostels also have single or double rooms but these cannot usually be booked in advance. The cost of this option is from around £15 per person per night or £85 per person per week for bed and breakfast accommodation. We visit hostels and only recommend those that offer secure lockers for your personal belongings and are clean with good kitchen and bathroom facilities.

If you want to arrange your own backpacker accommodation, we highly recommend Hostelworld.com for its eBay-style feedback system - you can see what other travellers think of a hostel before you book there. Please be aware that the more individual ratings a hostel has, the more reliable its average rating is likely to be.

Hotels

The cost of this option is from around £30 per person per night for bed and breakfast, depending upon the price level of the hotel. We visit local hotels to make sure they are clean and their facilities are acceptable.

Accommodation finding service

We charge a £35 fee for finding accommodation on your behalf. You do not need to send payment for your accommodation in advance, unless you are paying a deposit. Please ask us about this service and give as much warning as possible (at least two weeks) for us to find accommodation for you.
